SHARING IS LOVING

What do I consider the most charitable work(s) that I have done so far?

“Sharing is loving”, as what the saying goes. Great happiness can be best acquired by giving/sharing our own blessings to our brothers and sisters who are in need. “Sharing” gives a person a satisfying feeling, which one could carry all through his/her life. It is a way of expressing your love to other people. Moreover, this could also be one way of giving back the kindness and love that our Almighty Father had given us.

It was last year when a certain organization where I belong had a community service. We went to a rural area somewhere in the city where there are lots of children who were quite unfortunate by not having enough money to sustain some of their basic needs. Seeing them gave me tons of realization in life. I felt pity for them but, as I saw their smiles drawn in their faces upon meeting us, gave me a relief with a thought that somehow we made them smile. Looking those happy faces as they receive our little presents bestowed me a very gratifying emotion. For my 18 years of living, I consider this a the most charitable works I’ve ever done and it has been a pleasant experience sharing my time with those little kids. And it has given me a big lesson which I will carry all through out my journey through life.

Sharing is not only about giving material stuffs. It is also imparting your time and effort to other individuals which could help you a better person. And it is what God wants us to do.
